Arrive in Tashkent. Transfer from the airport to the hotel. Free time. Overnight at the hotel.

Sightseeing in the capital of Uzbekistan, the biggest city in Central Asia with a guide. Start sightseeing tour around Tashkent with our guide: visiting Amir Temur Square, the Square of Navoi Opera and Ballet Theatre, Independence Square and the Monument of Courage – the monument to victims of the earthquake in 1966; visiting Abulkasim Madrassah, old part of the city, as well as the religious center of Tashkent – Hasti Imam Complex. The complex consists of Barakhan Madrassah, Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum and the library of Islamic literature, where the Koran of Usman is – the oldest extant manuscript of the Koran. Chorsu Bazaar. Visit to the Museum of History of Uzbekistan at will of the visitor. Overnight at the hotel.

Transfer to local airport in Tashkent. Morning flight to Bukhara (605 km, 1 h. 45 min.). Upon arrival you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. Leave your luggage at the hotel. Check in at noon. Take a walking sightseeing tour with a guide in historic center of Bukhara which has been listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Start walking city tour along the old part of Bukhara (7 hours): Visit to the Mausoleum of Samanids, Bolo Hauz Mosque and the Ark Fortress – the oldest citadel dating back to I century BC, Poi Kalon Square with Kalon Minaret and Mosque, Mir Arab Madrassa. There are three trading domes or so called covered bazaars preserved from the XVI century and these bazaars were the centers for trade of silk, jewelry and even for money exchange. Today as well, one can enjoy and purchase different souvenirs of a wide range, from small souvenir magnets to the famous Bukhara carpets. Ulughbek and Abdulazizkhan Madrassas, Abdullakhan’s Tim and a visit to the Caravanserai Sayfuddin which is the Center of Handicraft Development of Bukhara. Magoki Attari Mosque. Lyabi Hauz is the center of old Bukhara and it is an architectural complex of the XVII century that includes Nadir Divanbegi Madrassa and Khanaka, Kukeldash Madrassa and the monument of the famous historical comedian figure Khodja Nasreddin is also based in this square. Enjoy free time in Old City. Overnight at the hotel.

Early morning depart to Samarkand (280 km, 4 h.). Arrive in Samarkand. Check in to hotel. Meet your guide and driver at hotel lobby and start sightseeing. Visit to the famous Registan Square – heart of Samarkand and real masterpiece of Central Asian medieval architecture, consists of three grandiose buildings: Ulughbek Madrassa, Madrassa Sherdor and Madrassa Tilla Kori. Gur Emir Mausoleum – a burial vault of Timurids dynasty; Bibi Khanim Mosque – the biggest medieval building in the city; Shahi Zinda Necropolis – unique complex of Mausoleums; Ulugbek’s Observatory – one of the most important astronomical centers; Samarkand bazaar – Siyab. Overnight at the hotel.

shakhrisabzEarly morning depart Samarkand and drive to Termez (380 km.) via Shakhrisabz. Have a city tour in Shakhrisabz. Visit Mausoleum of Jakhongir in Dor-us Siodat Memorial Complex, remains of Ak-Saray Palace, Dor-ut Tilavat Ensemble with Kok-Gumbaz Mosque and burial vault of Tamerlane’s father. In the afternoon continue driving to Termez. Arrive in Termez, check in to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

In the morning have a short sightseeing tour in Termez: visit Archeology Museum and Mausoleum of al-Hakim at-Termezi. Transfer to Uzbekistan-Tajikistan border Sariosiyo -Bratstvo (180 km, 2 h. and 30 min.). Go through border formalities on both checkpoints.

On Tajikistan side meet your local driver and drive to Dushanbe, the capital. On the way visit to Hissar fort. On arrival we explore Dushanbe’s sites and soak up the atmosphere of this little visited Central Asian city, visit Tajik National Museum, Rudaki park, monument of Ismoili Somoni and Shokhmansur bazaar. Overnight at the hotel.

The lake takes its name from Alexander the Great: Iskander is the Persian pronunciation of Alexander, and kul is lake in Tajik. The outflow of the lake is the Iskander Darya, which joins the Yaghnob River to form the Fan Darya, a major left tributary of the Zeravshan River.

Drive through stunning scenery to Lake Iskander Kul in the Fann Mountains, where we have opportunities to hike around the lake shore. We have the rest of the day to explore the area and can visit nearby waterfalls and springs as well as small settlements. Overnight at the tourist base.

After breakfast drive to Istravshan city (Kiropolis) along the Fon-Dariye River and over the Shahristan pass. Upon arrival in Istravshan we will visit Mugh teppa, Kok-Gumbaz madrassah and Chor-Gumbaz mosque and local bazaar. Overnight at the hotel.

In the morning start drive Khujand city. Upon arrival visit to the Panjshambe bazaar, Sheikh-Maslehiddin mosque and Sugd region Museum. After lunch drive to the Tajik-Uzbek border “Oybek”.(BL) Go through border formalities on both checkpoints. Meet Uzbekistan driver and head to Tashkent (100 km, 1 h. 30 min.). Upon arrival in Tashkent transfer to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Check out from the hotel at noon. Free time until transfer to Tashkent International Airport. Departure. End of the tour.
